Orienteering on the playground
Children of year 3 are learning to work with a compass. They know all about north, south, east and west and are working together outside to do some orienteering.

Sharing in the playground!
Using what we had learnt in Mathematics, today we went outside and had fun with some chalk in the sun. We used the chalk to help us use pictorial representations of our division calculations. Again, we used the sharing method to help us and we did an amazing job!
We’re measuring our playground!
Our 3 students, one 1st, one 6th and one 11th grade, measured the playground by non-standard measuring units (foot and steps) and then calculated the dimension of the playground.
