Maths at Christmas – Reception Class

We really enjoyed getting ready for Christmas and using our maths skills too!

We practiced recognising our numbers and counted the correct amount of baubles to match the number!

We also made our own Christmas trees by ordering lengths!

Time Problems – Christmas Maths

Year 5 have been working on time related problems in our Maths lessons. We enjoyed working out Santa Claus’s schedule and solved problems relating to this! This activity caused lots of excitement as there are only a few days left until Christmas day!

Dividing by 3

This week Year 3 have been learning what dividing actually means and have been using cubes to help  We’ve been learning the different ways we can say this too – groups of and sharing.  The children were asked to sort a collection of small parcels into groups of 3.We think maths is fun!

Star Calendars

Year Six have been having fun stitching their calendars using a mathematical formula ! The threading of the needles was the trickiest bit but we all managed.
